I write #ownvoices books from my #livedexperience as a mother of seven and grandmother of seven, a psychiatrist, a journalist and an educator.The May Fairy is a series of retold fairy tales aimed at middle grade and reluctant readers. The first in this series is "The Wonderful Tale of Donkey Skin", a picture story illustrated with beautiful whimsical watercolors and introduced by endearing comics.In the same series, still under work are: Little Jack and the Giants, The Arizona Princess, and The Prince from Kazakhstan.Also awaiting publication is a collection of Favorite Stories from China, aimed at older readers of YA age group, including legends, folk tales, historical anecdotes, and stories from classics.In my spare time, I love working in my permaculture garden and food forest, and preparing food made from my own harvest.
