Aeron Cargill is a Jamaican-American professional Illustrator with a BA in Visual Arts and minor in history. He specializes in realism and fantasy. Aeron’s works have appeared on children’s books, text books, novels, and more. His clients include publishers such as Quarto Kids, Reycraft books, and Heinemann. Early in his career, he wrote, illustrated and self-published the book Jamaican Proverbs Illustrated. Aeron’s illustrations are often grounded in realism, yet he often explores themes that are fanciful, emotional, and nostalgic. His inspiration includes diverse cultural influences, including Caribbean history, modern street art and classical western masterpieces.
