Michaela Goade is a Caldecott Medalist and a number one New York Times bestselling artist. She is the illustrator of several award-winning books, including We Are Water Protectors by Carole Lindstrom, Remember by Joy Harjo, and Berry Song, her first self-authored work. She is a member of the Tlingit Nation and grew up in her ancestral homelands along the southeast coast of Alaska, where she lives today on an island at the edge of a wide, wild sea.
