I studied Fine Arts (Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, University of the Fraser Valley), but even prior to that I think I had always been an artist. At age 3, I drew a bunny and won a drawing contest in my very small countryside community. I think I was pretty adorable, but don't tell 3 year old Julie that, she was sure she won because she was a very good drawer. I live in Montreal with my family. I make art daily. I love smoothies. I also write. I’ve written YA, MG, and various picture book manuscripts, some of which are on submission. I've been co-coordinator of monthly SCBWI meetings in Montreal with Julien Chung since ... I want to say 2015 ... or 2014. It's been fun.
