To Spain Park High School From Drury Inn
Exit hotel - turn right on Grandview Pkwy. At the light turn left (east) on Hwy 280. Go approx. 2 miles - turn right on Hwy 17 South. Go 3 miles on Hwy 17 south. Turn right at the light into the school.

From I-459 take Exit 19, Hwy 280 - head east. Go approx. 2 miles - to Hwy 17 South - turn right. Go about 3 miles - Spain Park High will be on the right.

From I-65 take Exit 247, Valleydale Rd/Hwy 17 - go north approx. 3.5 miles. Turn left at the light into the school.

Take the 3rd right into the parking lot, on the left side of the school. Enter the building in the center of the left side.

MARKETING INTENSIVE FOR WRITERS

For an extra fee, wik08 attendees can register for a special one-day marketing intensive sponsored by the Southern Breeze Conference. Former publisher, Time-Life editor and published author, Molli Nickell, will teach you how to shift your writing from "telling" to "selling." You'll be amazed at how much you'll learn in one day-how to write an effective query or cover letter, quick-read synopsis and compelling first page. Molli makes learning fun and exciting! Pre-registered Intensive attendees need to bring copies of the first page of their work, along with whatever queries and/or synopses they may already have written.

WIK08 DISPLAYS

SOUTHERN BREEZE KUDOS KITES

Kudos Kites are exhibited at bi-annual Southern Breeze conferences. The kites proudly display book covers as well as announce each book's creator and noteworthy acclaims.

Kudos Kites are our way of publicly honoring our published members and allowing all members, visiting attendees, and speakers to get to know our books. Regional Advisor Donna Bowman receives submissions for Kudos Kites annually during the month of April at meteorwrite@comcast.com. Check our website for guidelines.

PUBLISHED BOOK DISPLAY

Southern Breeze Members (only) may bring one copy per title of their published book(s) for display beneath their Kudos Kite at the conference. Indicate on the registration form how many books you'll bring. Set up Saturday 7:30 - 8:30 AM, remove by 5:00 PM.

PORTFOLIO DISPLAY

Members wishing to display their illustrations must bring portfolios to the conference, set up portfolios in the designated area Saturday between 7:30 - 8:30 AM, and remove portfolios by 5:00 PM.
